From Tourist Visa to Temporary Press Card<\/b><\/h4>\n

The process to obtain an Israeli work visa for international media personnel is rather straightforward and can be smoothly processed with the help of an Israeli immigration lawyer who is accustomed to dealing with visa issues. \u00a0The Government Press Office (GPO) in Israel provides <\/span>visas to international media<\/span> members. \u00a0International media personnel often come to the country on a tourist visa, and upon arrival, submit an application to the GPO for a temporary press card. \u00a0(For more on this and other types of press cards, see our articles addressing this for longer term<\/a> or shorter term<\/a> personnel.)<\/span><\/p>\n

The GPO Press Card for International Media<\/b><\/h4>\n

We provide other articles on this topic, like the Government Press Office card process<\/a>, but in short, this is the procedure. \u00a0In the event an international media staff member seeks a press card, the media outlet will apply on their behalf. The media outlet needs to be recognized as such by Israel\u2019s Press Office. \u00a0In the event it is the first time the applicant is submitting a request for a press card, a security review will be undertaken. It essentially examines that the applicant has not committed a crime, has never been deported from Israel, and does not work for a hostile country. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It is important to note that, until the international media staff member obtains some sort of work status in Israel, like a temporary press card, they should not work in Israel while lacking the proper permits, as this is a criminal offense.<\/span><\/p>\n

From Temporary Press Card to Israeli Visa for International Media Staff<\/b><\/h4>\n
